Rumor Mill: Nick not coming back to N&A

OK, I am starting this one....

What if Nick is doing what Adam Carolla did when he had it with Danny Partridge (i.e., he just stopped showing up)?

Nick seemed fine on last Thursday show. Maybe there is more to Artie missing Mon-Tues. than the flu.

Remember how Artie posted about a new comedy gig on Monday (on artiequitter)? Strange for a guy in the flu's death grips.

Maybe 1+ years is the limit for someone working with Artie.

    Here are my other predictions:

AZ Cardinals win out 2012 season.
    Bengals make it to superbowl

Damn I am back to 5 piles of steaming shit for a rep. I hope this thread does not add to it.

OK maybe I went overboard here.

Update: Bengals only make it to round 2 of playoffs.

    Keep Tim-ming ya'll.

I doubt it, because Nick doesn't seem like the type of guy to throw away money and he's not getting his own show again. I do think that with just a little bit of retooling, this show could be the best one going on satellite or terrestrial, and Nick leaving might just do it if we get the right replacement (and decent bands if they're going to force that on us).

Good post. I am a big Nick fan. Not sure if I would listen to Nick without Artie or Artie without Nick.

Nick has a tough job on N&A (hitting the breaks, keeping the bosses and Artie pacified).

His brilliance really come out, to me, when I listen to replays on the pod-casts.

If I think Artie is busting ass on someone, and almost being offensive (not yet), I listen back and hear Nick add in short quips that are even more offensive and funnier.

N&A is the best entertainment going since mid-1990's Howard Stern (selective moments) with Stuttering John, Grillo and Jackie Joke Hunt (or any odd Howard show with Artie).

Actually, N&A is the best thing I have ever listen to.

Oh yeah, and the AZ Cards just kicked some ass (like I predicted).

Now I got depend on those fuck-nutt Bengals to do something good.

It would be great to see the Skins win the division and face Nick's Pats in the superbowl.

Nick was pretty sick the for a couple shows prior to not being there, and you can tell that both these guys love this gig. I've become pretty addicted to watching this show on Direct TV, and I laugh out loud many times each show at both Nick and Artie, which I haven't done with Stern's show since Artie left.

No way, man. we're looking at Abbott and Costello. Bud was always way behind Lou in the funny marathon, but if you didn't have both of them, it wouldn't be a fun race.

It's a perfect combo until Nick crowbars politics into the show. Thankfully he's cut way back on that, and the show's much better as a result.

In retrospect, maybe I have been too hard on Nick. He's a good guy, I just think he is less willing to fight the powers that be than Artie, which is probably why they put him in charge of moving the show along. I just don't like when Artie is riffing on something and then Nick forces him to break out of it so he can move onto another segment, and he has a habit of taking over Artie's stories sometimes. He is still ten million times better than Shuli. Also, Nick fighting with Hanzi over politics is radio gold, especially that mosque stuff.

Fantastic idea. Have TfC sit in for Nick. The talk will have to be around `natti issues (which I think everyone will love).

    Welcome to #TeamGunnar

I hope to have more #TeamGunnar fans soon.

I think it would be funny if we could flood the lines with Cincinnati questions one night. Like, "Hey Nick, what do you think about the Xavier Musketeers point guard situation?" and "What does Mike Bochetti think about the Bearcats D-Line this year?". Or even call in with high school football questions, like "Artie, who is the better program? Cincinnati Moeller or Elder?".

Moeller and Elder are ok, but I went to LaSalle.

And I don't start co-hosting with Artie until February

Hah, that is awesome. LaSalle is probably the better school, just not a football factory. Reps to you my friend, how do you have shitpiles?

    Odd proposition you posed.

Nick's got a great gig there and appears to know it.

As for Carolla, wasn't he fired from his radio gig and they still had to pay him for another 2 years and that's when he had the bright idea of working for himself?

Yup. And, I think Carolla hinted that he turned down doing the directv show before it became the rick and martie show - basically Artie's entire career is based on things Carolla turned down - the stern show, the part on entourage, possibly the directv show

Stern gave Carolla a shot and he blew it; the get john's job contest. You may be referring to the sirius show they offered him years later for peanuts.

Wrong. Carolla was offered the chair before Artie and he turned it down, even Art has admitted that. Even when Artie got the chair Stern used to have carolla sit in on the show from LA

Well still on track with G.-Picks. B's just made it into playoffs and Cards may win out (game ready to start).

Cards winning today (which will have to be based on good defense) should help seal N&A's fantasy football win.

I hope people know I was kidding about @timinqueue being #1 twitter site in 2013. Have you read @timinqueue lately? Snore!

Now on to watching Cards kick some Bears (Dan Falato) butt.

    G. Peace
