Well, I am not a huge online game player, I use the blu ray player and it has 3d capabilities.

If you are a big online gamer, the Xbox, hands down, is a better choice than the PS3.

I am curious; why do you not want to buy a new machine, or, at least one at Game Stop?

Buying from a private person/pawnshop etc...is a pretty dicey proposition. If the thing croaks on you, you are stuck with a brick.

But, on the bright side, buying pre-owned games where ever you can find them is mostly a safe bet.

If you can wait another year,possibly less. The xbox 720 will be out. Everything I have read says the next Xbox is going to have a blu ray player in it. Since you probably won't want to wait I would recommend getting a new Xbox with a large hard drive and a good game deal is the Mass Effect trilogy for 60 bucks.

You're nuts if you buy the 720 next year. Remember how fucked a lot of the new 360s were when they first came out? I'm waiting til 2014 for the 720
