Looking to buy a used XBox

Went to gamestop, they had refurbished for $140. I almost bought one but it just seemed too expensive. Is there somewhere else I could get an xbox super cheap aside from ebay or amaon??

It's really not that much. If you get it off craigslist you rusk someone selling you one with the ring of death. I would buy new and get one with a hardrive if you plan to go online or download games.

Get the one at gamestop. It's fair price and you know it will work. Prices will drop some more cuz the new xbox and ps are coming out next Christmas.

That's a good point get the biggest hard drive you can affford.

I got one in a box, with a shit ton of games.

Go for the PS3.

I think xbox is better unless he his going to use it for blu-ray movies. That case get the ps3. It's still one of the best blu-ray players on the market.

Walmart has an Xbox, plus a 3 month online sub to Xbox live for $179, plus free shipping. Don't buy a used one

Still get the biggest hard drive you can afford. And then get skyrim.

Yeah, besides what Mario said mentioning the red rings, if the unit has been perma-banned from xbox live because the previous owner modded it to play pirated games, you'll be out of luck trying to access the best reason to own it, even if they removed the mods and you call Microsoft. Try to get the black one as well, black one has wireless N built in, instead of having to buy an add on adapter.

Thanks for all the advice everyone, very helpful. I have a Wii right now and it's boring as shit, only good game is Mario Bros. I have CAll of Duty 3 and the controls are super shitty, unplayable
