If I had to make a choice, I would pick Keurig.

You have more product choices with Keurig. More tea and even herbal tea. They also offer a filter so can brew coffee in your Keurig maker. My dad-in-law will buy Tim Horton's coffee (grinded) and will make it using his Keurig. You can't do that with Tassimo.

Tassimo offers Tim Horton's coffee now, they also offer specialty coffees like cappucino (coffee with milk on top) while Keurig doesn't have that.

If your mom likes more tea, herbal tea and hot chocolate = Keurig

Also Keurig will offer variety packs (ex: 2 coffee, 2 french vanilla coffee, 2 hot chocolate, etc..) but Tassimo doesn't offer that. Plus Tassimo makes you pay for the milk (ex: you purchase a 8 pack of Hot Chocolate, the real number is 4. 4 packs of hot chocolate and 4 packs of milk.)

well her biggest thing is that she likes the espressos and and shit with milk that Keurig doesn't do, and she bitches all the time about how my dad will brew a whole cup of coffee for just one cup, so I think I'm going Tassimo.

And you only purchase a Keurig/Tassimo if you drink coffee/tea once in a while. If you drink 2-3-4 cups per day, don't even think about it. It would be way too expensive long term.

ok thats if you're making it at HOME though! what if you go out 2 or 3 times a day just to get something from Tim Hortons or Starbucks, that would be worth it if you could do it from home wouldn't it?

They have always had them. They are a pain in the ass. You have to fill it, rinse it out and refill it for every cup.
