While not technically Japanese Rock, has anyone listed to Richie Kotzen's music? He's huge in Japan, and was with Mr. Big in the 90's and late 2000s. They put out two really solid albums with him, the best being Actual Size, but I think Eddie Trunk and myself are the only Americans that listened to them. Eddie Trunk is constantly promoting him, though. If you want a song to sample, the best one is probably Shine.
