I don't know much about The Game, but everything he said seemed like it was based on half truths at best. He was shot and blacked out, but couldn't say how he got to the hospital or who took him there. He claimed to have sold every drug that's out there, but didn't know if people snort or smoke coke. He claimed to be a member of The Bloods street gang, despite his entire family being Crips, yet:

And as another poster pointed out during the listening thread; before he was a "gangsta" rapper, he was on a fucking dating show and the "LA" tattoo on his face is covering up an older butterfly tattoo.

The whole interview was dull and full of generic, bullshit answers. There wasn't a damn thing interesting about it. I remember thinking how disappointed I'd be if I was actually a fan of him and his shit music.
yeah, you've pretty much nailed it (love the all-blue pic lol)

"Musicians" these days have such carefully crafted personas... with very little substance underneath. If you are a rapper, you have to be a gangster (or a skinny-jean wearing skateboarder) and weave these stories for people to latch on to. I'm assuming BenBas is a middle-aged white woman, so she gets a thrill out of these romanticized "gangster" tales.. but if you step back, you'll see every cookie-cutter rapper has the same contrived back story of drugs and violence ... compounded by the fact The Game hasn't been relevant in hip-hop in about 6 years. Go to one of his shows, and 80% of the crowd is probably made up of young impressionable Lucas Dell'Abate's.

Wow, what a shock that he interviewed someone he's already interviewed before.

There I posted something POSITIVE about the show!!! Maybe because Robin somehow managed to keep her insane NEW CACKLE LAUGH QUIET for a change!!!

Although she did interrupt with some really stupid comments....
that Howard ignored .....was surprised that GAME answered her!!

I had a visual of what I thought he looked like and was SHOCKED when I saw his pic on HS.com!!
Anyone see the pics?? There's one with Gary!!
So Gary's Son wanted to skip school to meet the Game and BaBaBooey said "NO!"
I think it was really cool that he signed a CD for Gary's kid AND gave him a Shout out!

So FINALLY A TERRIFIC interview!!! NOT so much a Therapy Session with Dr. Stern! (after the session with Howie Mandel I think Howard cooled it with the
    therapy)

This dude should write a book! What a life he had AND STILL has! One of 15 kids??? His Mom had 15kids???
all from the same baby daddy??
Did anyone LISTEN TO THIS INTERVIEW????? IT was unbelievable!

He really hates the POLICE! REALLY had some harsh words for the POLICE!
then admits to smoking pot....LOTS of pot Smoking in the Limo....
I would be a tad WORRIED that the POLICE will go after this dude and
try to get him for smoking weed .

We'll see....it's my prediction....the next few days promoting his new CD! He should stop hatin on the POLICE!

    peace & love

I very much appreciate that you highlight certain words through the use of capital letters. Without that I wouldn't know which words were important and which ones were just filler. Again, thank you.

I grew up in a mixed working class/middle class neighborhood in Long Island. Nice place, no major crime or anything. There was this black family that lived two houses down from me...real cool people. The dad owned a plumbing business and the mom was a nurse. The middle son was my age and I went to school with him. We weren't close friends, but we'd smoke pot together or my older brother would give us a ride to school before we were old enough to drive.

I saw him right before I left NY when I was 19. This was less than two years since I saw him last. He and his cousin (another working class family kid from the burbs) were now rappers, "hustling mix tapes." They were now claiming that they "slang rock" and were always "strapped" because "the streets is hard." They completely invented these hardcore thug personas and were trying to get recognized by record companies.

I don't think they ever found the success that they were looking for (I never heard about 'em after I moved,) but it made me question EVERY act I saw after that. I can't wait until we see a murder charge where one fake rapper paid a buddy to shoot him in the leg and accidentally gets hit in the femoral artery and bleeds to death. Oopsie. :jj

    "So in a schhhhens"

Howard loves to say that and he has so much trouble saying it. It's almost as bad as when he says "shessy." I used to think the lisp was a bit but now it's just his normal way of speaking.
