Chairman of the bored
I guess people at the bar don't appreciate his genius
I'm not very appreciative of his supposed "genius".![]()
Boring Story: I had just turned 15, 2 days before, and one of my presents was the "Red Album", because I was just starting to really get into the Beatles heavily. I was playing it before going to school and my mom brought me the morning paper.....![]()
I had music lessons for years and my instructor was a HUGE Beatles fan (along with the horrendous Led Zepplin) and I got sick of it being shoved down my throat. When I got older I tried to appreciate them more since I figured I was missing something. Even with an open mind I was not blown away. I find Lennon to be the 3rd most talented Beatle. I think the term "genius" is overused and I don't believe Lennon deserves the title. Perhaps George Harrison is more deserving (IMO). It's just my perception.
Also he married that dope Yoko, didn't seem to be much of a father to his kids from his previous marriage (POS) and I tend to dislike entertainers that get to lippy politically (regardless of their stance). Too bad Lennon was cut down by some mental asshole but I just don't put him on a pedestal as a god.
