I used to love drugs, but thankfully I like sleep even more. I had friends that got tweaked out on that shit and luckily most of them made it out, they told me the best part of the high was after being up for 3 or 4 days. I drank heavily at the time, and proper alcoholics need their rest.

Absolutely right. I have been pro-expanding your consciousness since I was about 14 but I was never once tempted to do coke or crank. As you said, there were no nostalgic romantic stories about coke floating around my town: you did coke, a couple years later you were walking around with a stunned look on your face going "I've made a huge mistake". At least with booze, pot, acid, shrooms you could see yourself ramping up and down as circumstances warranted.

Besides, as telecaster said, who the fuck wants to be up for 4 days? I drink so I can fall asleep before dawn.
