Robin is a whacko nutjob "nurse" who left the profession back in the Dark Ages....and her tendency to try every fad diet out there and do her best to debunk Western medicine just shows she's insane.

Think about it: green drink, coffee enemas, vegetarianism (whatever version she tried..?), liquid diets.... she's all over the place, except learning how to properly lose weight, through a balanced, nutritious diet and regular cardiovascular, aerobic exercise.

So true. It's sad that she is so damned lost in the world. I remember when she started her Martha's Vineyard liquid diet and spouted off about how people don't need to chew! I wonder what those 32 enamel things are in our mouths? So delusional.

You're right. It can be heriditary. There are plenty of Vegans who only eat a plant based diet & yet their cholesterol levels are higher than any meat eater. Once u go on statin drugs however ur on them for life.

You're right about that. I've been on Lipitor and the generic equivalent for about 10 years now with no end in sight. Both of my parents had high cholesterol.

High LDL (bad cholesterol) is fine IF your HDL (good cholesterol) is high too. It's the ratio between the two. In my case, my body simply does not make HDL well, even when I was running 3 to 5 miles/day, I was only able to get my HDL to about 40 (should be between 50-60), so, as a result, I MUST watch my LDL because my HDL isn't balancing it out.
