    I know that there are some real relationships going on around here, so they don't count in this.

    Is there anyone here that you feel you can give your real life information to and discuss personal things with privately?

    I feel the same way about Facebook. I have friends that post every aspect and almost every minute of their lives on there. Even when they go away for vacation. Putting that kind of information out there is just asking for it.

    I made up a fake id and photo and background history so I could follow a few writers (Megan Abbott, Ken Bruen, a coupla others) & music zines. It's cool to get a response from a great author like Megan Abbott or Bruen.
    But I pretty much hate Facebook. I used to use it to find cool new tunes and stuff.
    It sucks compared to this place.

    Same, but you actually have to worry more about the people you trust with your info. It's shocking how easily people will spill info unsolicited when trying to convince you they are trustworthy.
