The past few years that my wife and I have seen the play the character of Fred was played by a black actor. That may explain Ebeneezer's resentment

I love it like Jeton loves hurricanes.....I read it every year, along with a few other Dickens Christmas stories...... oddly enough, ACC seems to be getting relevant again, in the US this time

I love Dickens, but I gotta say, the man could write a 10 page long sentence, using Victorian sarcasm, to say what could have been said in 10 words....but it's kinda fun.

I like that one and also the 1938 version and the 1984 George C. Scott version. And when I was a kid, I remember an animated version that was kinda creepy.....

Well, a good time was had by all. The first scene in Scrooge and Marley's shop had many of the same political views voiced by so many during the last presidential election.
