MSA - $5,000 pre-tax dollars goes into a Medical Savings Account in your name; you buy a catastrophic medical insurance policy with a $5,000 deductible. the monthly cost is very low. you pay for piddly shit yourself. if you do not exhaust your own $5,000 a year medical savings account by the end of the year, that money is yours to keep, and you can put in another $5,000 for the next year. if you have to pay a doctor cash money, you will not go to the ER with the sniffles.

Social Security: if you are collecting now, you keep collecting. If you are not collecting Social Security, you can opt out. No more contributions from you; no payments to you later. You're out. kaput. Make your own retirement account with the money you would otherwise have paid into this ponzi scheme and retire with some dignity.
