Is Bob Evans a Midwest thing? Howard acted like he never heard of it...and Robin thought it was a convenience store chain. At least she knew it was a famous sausage brand (go figure).

I'm a life long West Coaster and the only Bob Evans I know of is the old time douchebag Hollywood producer.

They're all over the Midwest. I'm in Michigan. I assumed they would be just as popular on the east coast (NY, NJ).
Wiki entry
The Bob Evans Restaurant chain started from a single truck stopdiner near the Bob Evans Farm in Rio Grande, Ohio in 1953. The chain has grown to nearly 570 locations in 23 states, primarily in the Mid-Atlantic, Midwestern, and upper Southern states. All locations are corporately owned, not franchised.
I live in Florida but I never heard of or saw a bob Evans.....maybe it's a central Florida/Midwest thing....so I can't really be critical of Howard for his "ignorance" of the chain.
I went there once when I was young on trip to Florida. They were pushing biscuits and gravy as their signature dish. I still remember it after all these years because it was so bad.

There's one in South Jersey. Near Cherry Hill I think. God knows how it stays in business though. I ate there once and it sucked. You don't see them very often though
Burger King has better quality food than Bob Evans and costs about 60% less
Ate there once in Maryland a year ago. The mac & cheese was just like some off brand from a box.
