I started my own business last week and I'm having a hard time coming up with a good name.

I came up with two so far.

• Digital Bedrock - Bedrock is the foundation of pretty much everything on this planet. I like the analogy but I think it's too long and it doesn't really sound that cool.
• Dynamite Pages - I like this one, because SHIT IS DYNAMITE!!!

I came up with a bunch more but the best of those already existed.

Any creative folks over here who have other suggestions? What's you guys' opinion on these?

What do we get for naming your company? Companies spend millions on firms to name their site or brand. I don't expect millions but compensation should be in the tens of thousands.

used to be that people tended to choose companies to work with that had someone's name in the company name (eg. Connie's Pizza). not sure it that holds true online too.

The problem is my first name is "Dick", and most people in my own country don't even know how to write or pronounce my last name.

I wonder if it hurts if you add another word to it, like "solutions" or "communication" or something. I got a couple of good ideas, but their domains are already taken. For example: instead of "car.com", "car-solutions.com"
