Mom will be 62 in a few days. She's kind, but a tad bit nutty, a weird sense of humor. Still has her natural brown hair(has never dyed it). Indulges in too much rich food, wine, and cigarettes and is a bad dresser. I used to take her into record stores and other "hip" stores with me as a teenager even though most kids thought that type of stuff was "uncool". She has her flaws, but I think she raised two well-adjusted people practically alone.

My mom had a stoke in her brain stem which controls everything, they said let her go and at the time, and I agreed with the docs there. I was all about let her go. But my sis thought there may be a miracle. So we waited for a miracle, it never came after 6 years of my Mom in a coma.

Sad and depressing when you know from day one Mom will never come back, but a family member is not on the same page.

My mom passed away 3 years ago.
We were very, very close and when she became ill, I became her caretaker.
I gave up years of my life to tend to her, but it was the least I could do for her, I loved her so much.

She is 56 yrs young and is amazing!! Definitely on my hero list even if she drives me nuts from time to time. I am very lucky to know her, never mind have her as my mom xoxo
