How about a thread for posting links to thought-provoking blog posts (about economics, political and moral philosophy, sociology, natural sciences, etc.)?

Maybe include a paragraph or two why a certain post is worth reading?

Last year, this post totally blew my mind about taxation. Some key points: 1) income may altogether be the wrong thing to tax, 2) "fairness" can be very counterintuitive, and 3) conservatives and libertarians may want to support certain forms of progressive taxation.

(I remember there is a typo in the math somewhere; it is however easy to figure out.)
