Photography's a joke. Anyone can be a photographer. You do your scary great pictures because you're a professional. I'll take my stupid...automatic camera...take pictures and we'll see if people can tell the difference. - HS, 2-1-02

Happy Thanksgiving to all.
I just got home from work. I had nice people at my tables today and hopefully made good money. Didn't really eat much because I have a toothache. Why do these things happen over long holiday weekends?

happy thanksgiving everyone.....husband and i just returned from thanksgiving dinner at my mother's club....we were with 8 other people....the food was good but for some reason i couldn't wait to leave(probably because i don't drink and there are times i really miss it as a social lubricant especially when everyone else is nursing a glass of wine or a martini).
then there was the scintillating conversation....
although everyone knew not to discuss politics.![]()

Dinner was good. I just logged out and feel a lot better now
I bet theres something you could put in grapple to make it um... crapple? some vodka or something? lol never heard of cisco but I do recall MD20/20 back in the day YUCK!! I actually had a bottle of "good" one someone gave me that the oopsidaisey the cork fell into... fuck fuck fuck! I should stay with crapple.

Watching a rerun of "King of Queens" as I wait for this Thanksgiving to end.....let's just say I've had better holidays than this one!
Hoping we all have a fantastic 2013......and that Howard gets a nice, shiny new WIG for Christmas!![]()
this time of year is especially rough for people who have suffered the loss of a loved one....everything is magnified, especially grief. they always say, it's part of life but while you're going through it you think it will never end and you'll always feel this intensely. after awhile it gets so that you can think of the person without crying...even laugh at the good times you had, but the loss is always imprinted on your soul.
when i was a child i always wished that i would die before my parents...i didn't think i could live without them. in fact, there isn't a day that goes by that i don't think of my father (and my mother is getting up in years). the melancholy is always there.
Anna Quindlen said about death: The world loves closure, loves a thing that can, as they say,be gotten through. This is why it comes as a great surprise to find that loss is forever, that (two) decades after the event there are those occasions when something in you cries out at the continual presence of an absence.
The continual presence of an absence. I think about that alot.
Ate regular Thanksgiving day meal watched the Texans kick ass and now Netflix is up.
