The whole tapes thing is a mess and shows how a master manipulator Howard is.

1) He got SIRIUS to pay for the tapes. I think Sirius payed NBC about 4 million dollars for the tapes.
2) Sirius will GIVE Howard the tapes when his licensing contract is out.
3) Howard got Sirius to pay for a tapes team. 4-6 people who full time work is to rip all shows to AIFF/WAV. Howard was proud to announce that all available shows where digitised a couple of years ago. Less then 2 terra byte of shows. Now the tapes team work 24/7 to censor old shows. Each and every Master Tape theatre are cut and censored. Over 50 edits per show on average!

But the old shows are much more fun then todays. The sad thing is that Howard lied as much back then as today. Today we can fact check. Before the internet Howard could tell pure bullshit like: "I had the biggest PPV of all time". "more people saw Private parts on the opening weekend then Star Wars". "We beat Saturday night live with the channel 9 show". "Private parts is the fastest selling record of all time"

....although at times don't you feel "duped". Actually listening to that "crap from 22yrs ago" is better than the "crap" from year #6 going on #7 on Sirius. IMO....

One thing positive about the older shows ....NO WRAP UP SHOW!! .....It's GREAT not hearing the WUS shoved down our throats every fucking day !!! THe first words out of Howard's mouth....The WUS...one of many reasons WHY on Sirius the show has sucked for the last 4yrs.....The WRAP UP SHOW has RUINED the Show for me....(and alot of you agree as well)
So when u listen to these older shows.....you realize how great they were!

Not hearing "I was listening to the WRAP UP SHOW".....or "DID YOU HEAR SAL (or JD or Jason or Gary or Ronnie) on THE WRAP UP SHOW???" Howard RUINED his show by re-lying so much on the WUS for CONTENT....
I mean really....AFTER the WUS wraps up the STERN SHOW..WHY the fuck do we have to hear clips again the next day???

Oh and another thing....Howard RUINED Robin's NEws hour...with so many LIVE PLUGS and commercial breaks....he reads a live plug every 2 minutes now...
so the show sounds more like Terrestrial than Satellite .
I used to LOVE the news....now?? I don't even listen it's sooooo bad.

Oh and another thing.....I thought the "annoying things we hate about Howarrd" game was ridiculous....the "things" that bugged the staff about Howard weren't "annoying" at all....ANNOYING things that Howard USED TO DO (before he read our fan feedback here and on the SFN)...was saying "the fact of the matter is"every 2 seconds....or "quite Frankly" or 'This that and the other thing"....Those are annoying....NOT the "issues" that Howard's staff were complaining about...they were more like " hurtful jealous criticism's"..ie: Scott Salem finds Howard's HAIR ANNOYING???? paaaleeese..
