OMG I'd never heard of that till once in college I volunteered for some fair thing where we had to escort special needs kids. My kid had that and they told me that I couldn't let him eat anything and he literally hulked out and went nuts trying to eat everything in sight. I was like WTF?

It was like that but the kid was about 8, not fat and seriously violent about what he wanted. I got an index card with a description that said he'd resort to eating things that weren't food if he had to...which he did.
