And we have "The Power Of Greyskull" . . .![]()
No, you submit, do you hear? You be strong, you survive... You stay alive, no matter what occurs! I will get your claws back. No matter how long it takes, no matter how far, I will get your claws back.
Taking your husbands balls off is cruelty too, Beth.
The above is strictly my humble opinion.
as much as i love my furniture i could never declaw a cat (and i have had cats who ripped a rush seat and wingback chair to shreds (it's like a natural scratching post). it's part of the price we pay to have them in our lives. i tried everything...sprays, scratching posts, barriers...nothing would deter the little monsters but c'est la vie. i'm down to one cat and one dog and they're both fairly well-behaved.
anyone who declaws a cat is cruel...i don't have the words. i've often wondered if howard really got the clats declawed himself. it seems too convenient for him to always manage to find the perfect cat for his lifestyle.
i put nothing past the ostrosky-sterns.
my boy used to chew on corners of the millwork near the flooralso. i couldn't figure out why some of the corners were exposed to the paint until one day i saw him having a great time chomping on it (but he seems to have outgrown it).
now? he he has occasional "accidents" but luckily my entire house is tiled so i just mop it up and we're good to go. i wouldn't trade him for anything....it's worth it.

I had 6 cats over my lifetime, all were declawed. On the other hand I didn't have my son circumcised. I felt bad about the cats but they never seemed to mind. One day at the vets with pain medication didn't seem too bad.
We've had three. Only the latest one was declawed and that was because we had young kids. Like I said, I don't care about furniture and stuff, just the kids. don't get a cat then, well yes, but we did get one and instead of being dead he's still alive 4 years later. He just met me at the car and came by for a quick scratch and a roll over in the dust. Now he's lying on the front porch waiting for the kids to get home. He's a wierd one.
