Oh ok now i get it. first of all they are fucking idiots they cant troubleshoot for shit. the first thing i would have done was check the signal on the tap to see if it was good. if the signal was bad their is no need to replace your homerun. most likely you have a bad faceplate on the tap that needs to be replaced and that takes about 3 minutes it can also be a bad tap which would need to be re spliced and that takes about 10min or the harder one would be that the feeder cable is cut some where and it needs to be barreled but even that is not too difficult for a contractor i used to have a leakage reader when it started beeping crazy I knew where the problem was, I would dig it up splice it and be done with it. Its not hard its just people dont want to do their job. Anyway i feel for you I know it sucks not having service. keep me updated I would like to know what the out come is. good luck.
