I gave my thoughts about it in the Movie Thread. I think it looked amazing...gorgeous scenery and well done effects. Great cinematography too. The rest of it, however, was a giant, ill thought out, shockingly stupid piece of shit. That might sound like hyperbole, but it isn't. I found it insulting to the audience. This was marketed as something "more" than just another Alien movie...something deeper and more thought provoking. Bullshit.

You might find this amusing. It was a little supplement to the full review over at Red Letter Media. It's short, but it barrels through everything that was retarded about this movie.

That's exactly how I saw it and I walked away just thinking "wow". Later, as I started to sift through my memories, I was like "wait, what the fuck?". My opinion has steadily declined since. Not expecting to see it again.

Waaayyyyy too many. I saw it in the theater in 3D. I don't usually like 3D, but have to say, it was a visual masterpiece and they used the 3D artfully, carefully. Absolutely lush and gorgeous to watch. Didn't change the fact that I walked out saying to my friend, "That thing made not a stitch of damn sense."
