    Sirius XM question.

So I just received my annual bill for Sirius, and for 2 cars and a home radio (3 subs) they want nearly $500. I only really listen to one channel like 90% of the time so to me it is not worth it (I can get O& A elsewhere). I also have Pandora so between that and the iPhone/iTunes my music and podcast needs are covered. I have heard people talk about the fact that they cancelled and the customer retention called and gave them a year for like $50. Has this happened to any of you good folks, and if so how do I go about getting a reasonable price? I like the service, but I can certainly live without it. Especially for $500.

Alright, then I guess I will do that. I really do not care if I get online or not, thought the on demand thing sounds cool, but can you send the content to your car?

I pretty much got this exact deal when I made the call..plus, they beamed the signal to a new receiver for me at no extra charge.

the trick is to say that you can't afford the service anymore..don't complain about the programming, theres a much slimmer chance they wont give you a better price if you do.

Will do, I just think that $500 annually is a little too much for radio. Good radio, but radio none the less. Thanks Naz.

I specifically told them that it was programming and I got offered a deal. Have you heard of someone who didn't?

The first time I called I said it was because of programming and they were doing radio edits...They gave me 6 months free to decide

didn't take that long with me..buddy offered the $75 deal right off the bat and I was all "hmmmmmmmm...". then he says "I could give you a few days to make up your mind if need be", and then I says "uhh that's okay, I'll take that offer". I'd say it was no more than 15 minutes on the phone with those idiots

I can see my way clear on $78 I guess? I wonder what will happen when Howard goes? O & A have a new 2 year (or is it a 1 year deal)? Either way, Sirius has done nothing to really advance the technology (like Apple) they just rely on awful customer service and raising prices.

I hate to say this, but if I get someone with an accent I hang up and try again.

Canadians are cool, I find that if I get a person from India, they never understand what I am saying or am after, all they say is I understand and re-ask the same question they just said they understood.
