Let's revisit the Artie/Howie "Bro Fight"

I think this was the turning point for me not being so much of a Howard anymore.

A couple points: You can tell that Artie didn't want to go into it. Howie was making a mountain out of a molehill and kept egging him on. Robin was so fucking annoying throughout the whole fucking thing! She is such an ass sucking twat. I love that Fred laughs at Artie's jokes and it pisses of Wiggy more.

Yes, Howard was being an asshole. But that's what Howard does. But Artie's argument was more dangerous. He was basically hurt that Howard was making fun of his weight. That's what caused him to lash out. By that logic, if it were up to Artie, Howard shouldn't make fun of Gary's teeth or Bobo's hair. Artie was a crybaby man-child and his attitude was bad for the show. He clearly felt he should be on Howard's level from day one. On the rare occasion anyone was allowed to bust his balls, he fell to pieces. Yeah, Jackie wasn't funny either but at least his personal life was fun fodder for Howard's ridicule. Artie's was just depressing.

I disagree. When Artie came on the show, he picked up a lot of slack that Howie wasn't wanting to do anymore. Hit on chicks, get into staff fights, being a man basically. Artie feels like he should be given a certain amount of respect like what Robin or Fred gets, and it is to back off on the lame bits that they won't even do. I admit Artie should have went to Howie off the air and said he didn't want to do dating segment anymore. But it is just gross how Howie uses people and thinks that they are doing him a favor.

Totally agree. But I also loved how Artie would subtly get back at Howard - when Artie started going with Adrian, I noticed he would always describe her as "my 25-year-old girlfriend." I think Artie knew it killed Howard every time he said "25-year-old" because she was so much younger than Beth.

I really wish that Artie had pulled Howard's wig off in this fight, and then punched him in the face.

I wish Artie would have gone out in a blaze of glory, too. Since Artie was such target about his weight, it would have been great if he somehow could have displayed on Howard's studio TV screen, the fat lingerie photo of Beth (and then fled out the door, of course):
