This. I'm a Dolphin fan and remember what a weapon Ray Guy was for the Raiders. During that time he was far better than anyone else that had ever played the position and definitely should be in the Hall.

it is a shame, but the man played in the 70's and 80's when punters made shit for money. The HOF should induct him so he could hit the autograph circut (not what it use to be) but still can make some coin. i would love to have his autograph. That being said he was the best ever at what he did. The only other guy that I can think of to compare him would be Reggie Roby

I saw him play years back as a kid. I wondered why my dad was talking about how great the other team's punter was.

Let's hope he did a better job of preparing them for sale than Jake LaMotta did.

yea that dude was as sick a a punter could get. The art of the coffin corner is totally lost. Now its all about trying to get players down there in time to fuck up a perfectly good punt I say take the human error out of it and work on putting it out of bounds inside the 20

Probably the best punter to ever play the game, but kickers and punters don't belong in the HOF.

They're the epitome of 1 dimentional players.

Who's the last QB that played both ways or offense and special teams (Blanda, maybe)?

The point is that just about every modern HOF player admitted in the last 30 years has been pretty "one dimensional" (Deion Sanders might be an exception).

Guy deserves to be in the HOF.
