Everyone on the show was overpaid. Jackie didn't want anywhere close to what Howard was making, he wanted a fair share for the expanding syndicated show, and Howard wanted to use Jackie's contribution to build the show up and then sell the show into syndication and keep all the extra marbles for himself.

Have to agree. Jackie was a big part of the show. He put all the funny shit Howard was saying into Howard's brain. Who cares how much he was asking for. Was Jackie also writing the stuff Billy West said? If so then Jackie deserved a lot more money. And the bullshit schedule Howard insisted/insists on if fucking nuts. Yet another reason Howard can't get good talent. Jackie has the same problem Colin Quin has, he can't articulate his thoughts well but he can seem to write them down well.
