I am pretty sure that he mentioned that they gave him a dvd to watch so that might explain how he ended up seeing it.

I think David999 is correct from another thread: "Stern had seen the movie earlier. No way he had planned to sit through it again. Beth knew the score before they went, 15 Red Carpet photos and then a la casa to get his Pjs on"

On Tuesday's show, Gary did say Howard was getting a DVD of the movie, but I don't believe Howard went out of his way to watch it at home that same day.
