What I would give for Jackie back on the show for 90 days, with the freedom to say whatever he felt. He would clean house, the Hamptons crowd couldn't stand it. Jackie never became an asshole, even when he had lost of money he was still a regular guy.

We should all write this on that Sirius survey - this is what it will take to get us back as subscribers.

My posts are merely conjecture and opinion; furthermore, they have no relation to anyone living or deceased.

I agree, I would start paying again, and even pay more if he had the freedom to be honest

Probably one of my most watched Youtube video:

My name was supposed to be French fries with mayo but I was drunk when I signed up.

You can also just call me "Dick".

    Truff!

Howard will never admit that Jackie's presence made him a better performer.

What made the Jackie years superior, for me, was the freedom everyone had to goof on him & vice versa. Artie was treated far more respectfully. A little too much, for my liking. Sometimes Artie & Robin were so mutually appreciative of each other, it became cringey.

it was the absolute best....it was laugh out loud, can't leave my car funny and jackie was the reason. i met jackie years ago when i worked for WLIW (it was the LI public TV channel) and jackie always helped out at our benefits. he's a really, really good guy...we also met up a few times and talked at the cold spring harbor fish hatchery..we were in adjoining towns east and west and had some serious discussions. yes he tried and no i wouldn't.
the show was never the same after he left, then after john left it sank even lower and never recovered..... although there were funny moments with artie but he was definitely an acquired taste (very male oriented)and his drug problems really overtook him pretty early on.
    whatever.....those were the days.

All ball breaking of Howard ended the day Jackie left. He hired Artie to kiss his ass, and he started taking calls from sycophants like bobo, Joey Boots, Double A, Maryanne, etc... more often. He also kept Robin and Gary's egos in check.

I never listened to the show during the Jackie days but you guys talking like this kinda sounds the same as fans of Guns 'n Roses talking about the different lineups and how the first one had some kind of special magic. How the dynamic immediately changed when Steven Adler was replaced by Matt Sorum (drummers).
