After she went home to NYC, we kept in contact via emails and phone calls and she came back down to Memphis a few times and we attended music gigs...went to Otha Turner's Birthday affair ... a psychedelic Mississippi Hill Country event with primitive fife & drums Delta blues style as well as trad slide guitar and psychedelic moonshine.
I'd fly up to NYC and hang out with her.
Boom.
We got married.
Never saw it coming.
I was having too much fun, drinking too much, and stoned on hydro red bud much of the time.

Pretty much saved my life.

The mean shit people have said about Holly Petraeus really pisses me off.
She's done good things for veterans ...not just holding social events with celebrities & the ultra-rich in attendance- she's actually worked with injured veterans and their families personally.
