I like Jackie more than I like anyone else on the show (including Howard). Jackie was the one key element that made the HSS funny, and the show lost 90% of its funny when Jackie left.
But Jackie by himself is not really funny, and the Joke Hunt (get it) is just not funny.

The shuffle made me a fan of Jackie. The show was great for me when he first came to satellite, but, still not as good as the late 90's with Jackie.

The new listeners (post-Jackie era) don't understand what Jackie contributed to the show. He wasn't anything like Artie (who was mediocre on a good day) and Jackie didn't tell jokes or talk on mic much. Jackie was the soul of the show and the inspiration/instigation for most of the truly funny moments on the show. It was nothing like the Joke Hunt.

I like he numbers episodes like it's an accomplishment to reach #300. I think as long as you never ask for more than a certain amount of pay, you'll never get cancelled.
