I gave up listening a long time ago. I'm down to recent talk show appearances, and they're plenty cringe-worthy on their own. I'm sure you caught it, but that Kimmel appearance last week was a doozy: he went to the crowd for applause rather than just sit the fuck down, he didn't know his own theme song and insulted the band.................he was nothing but forced obnoxiousness and hollow compliments.

And this was on a friend's show.

It's funny how it's really only the gracious nature of some of his showbiz friends that's holding him up; Bradley Cooper inviting him to the premiere of his movie, Clooney inviting him to his villa, Kimmel throwing him a party, lunch with the Baldwins, etc. He's getting treated so much better than he deserves.

I think they're the ones I'm actually cringing for.

I just watched Kimmel's appearance on the HS show from what I guess is about a year and a half/two years ago now..................he completely adores and worships Howard for some reason. He was demo-ing his Emmys jokes for Howard and Beth.....................and Ashton and Demi.......................he's got to be as big a star-fucker as BethHo, no? He brought in his new iPad because Howard told him to get one. He was like a little puppy. It was really disturbing.

And he was in that same awestruck mode during Howard's appearance on his show last week.

Don't be looking for that breaking free anytime soon.

I'm not sure how friendly Alec Baldwin and his wife are with the Sterns anymore. Alec probably stays on decent terms with him just for business reasons, but he has no problem calling Howard out on his bullshit (or calling Beth an escort ).

Don't forget that Kimmel didn't ASK Howard to be a guest on his Brooklyn shows. Howard invited himself and, from what I've read, alienated Jimmy's entire family in a matter of minutes. His fiance is a funny, smart woman and I hold out hope that she'll put an end to the double dating/vacationing.

And of course Howard's a huge star-fucker. "Who are your celebrity friends? How do I get invited to parties like that?", etc., etc., through his whole career. My new theory is that he and Beth are alike in almost every way, including their megalomania and sociopathy.
