After making the fact that some employees chose to stay home during the storm the centerpiece of his show for 3 days, Howard completely clammed up this week. Other than one cowardly backhanded slap at HPM, Howard barely mentioned the subject or any of the people he was hardest on last week - Richard, Doug Goodstein, Scott the Engineer, etc. Little or no mention of it on the WUS or other shows either. Does this strike anyone else as strange? I'm wondering if someone filed a complaint with Human Resources because they were publicly berated for missing a day for a completely legitimate reason and Howard was ordered to stop.

It's not like Howard to completely drop something like that, he usually drags things out for weeks (long past the point when it ceased to be entertaining). If it wasn't HR, someone must have told him to cool it. It's possible that an employee thought he was damaging their chances for future job opportunities by suggesting they were lazy and disloyal and I doubt if he's allowed to do that under any circumstances.

Isn't this the same HR department that allowed Artie to physically attack fellow co-workers on numerous occasions, fall asleep on the job, etc?
Howard rules the roost in his compound.
He must have gotten some negative feedback from his fellow travelers on the UWS or maybe his analyst for him to shut up about it so quickly.
