I have direct tv at my house. I own a cabin and have an extra receiver. Ive been told if I hook up a dish there, I can hook up the receiver. Anyone know?
I believe so but you'd have to have the receiver activated at your home and never connect it to the cabin phone line.
I think you just have to activate the card in the receiver

Shine is going to get throw in the pokey for stealing cable
i doubt it is that simple or else everybody would be sharing the same satellite cards. i own a cabin and just download a bunch of stuff onto a hard drive and hook it into my wdtv when i go up there.
You can bring your receiver back and forth to the cabin....it should work....we have a guy who brings his into work for big sporting events

You cannot take an extra receiver to the cabin, but you can take your main receiver and hook it up at the cabin. You'll need a bird dog meter.
Rossi is right, but ya don't wanna leave the reciever unplugged for too long.
Hi Rossi.![]()
