i doubt the reason was that her ability to do her job was the issue. more likely the company has an official code of conduct which she agreed to comply with as part of her employment agreement. bet she was released for violating the code of conduct. granted companies don't need a reason to discharge an employee, but more and more companies are considering employee's activities outside of normal work hours to reflect on the company. till there is a bill of rights allowing employees to openly maintain their own personal opinions outside of the workplace she has no protection. now another question is, did she post that on her facebook from a work computer? if so, the reason is misuse of company assets for non-business purposes.
