They've done it before, kind of. I think it was even before Sirius, but definitely after he was divorced. Robin was making fun of him for not doing any of his own shopping and sequestering himself from real life. So she threw out a bunch of things to see if he knew what they cost. The ones I remember are bananas, a can of tuna, and a gallon of gas. He got the can of tuna about right, probably by accident, but that was it. It was a funny moment (sigh). They'd never play that as a formal game now.

Here's the page for that game, they have a little chart if you want to see all his guesses.

Way off on tuna. But he knew how much the subway cost.

Duh, should have thought to look there before posting. Thanks!

Product Howard's Guess Robin's Guess Actual Price
Iceberg Lettuce $1.39 No guess $1.69
    One dozen eggs $2.69 $1.00 $1.99
    One gallon of milk $2.69 $2.50 $3.45
    Yogurt $0.69 $0.75 $0.99
    Subway token $1.50 $1.75 $1.50
    3 Pack of condoms $1.59 $3.00 $2.19
Loaf of white bread $2.17 No guess $1.59
    Tampons $2.89 $2.69 $2.99
    1 Can of tuna $3.99 $1.69 $1.29

I was wrong on almost every count-- it was a formal game, and I remembered only one product in the game. And when you read that, neither of them were that far off. It could be the difference in where you shop (well except for the tuna). But I swear that bit was funny.

I'm amazed that I thought Robin was making fun of Howard, and she couldn't come up with ANY price for two of them, and probably lost at this.

    I don't recall this game...but if it's on marksfriggin.com, then it's gospel.

Still there has to be to be something....OK...maybe the reverse....ask him about things like what's first class from JFK to LAX cost? Compare that to what the average Joe thinks. I'll bet he's spot on, and the average Joe will be way off.
I say, did anyone listen to Howard Stern this morning? He had some strippers in the studio, they sounded hot, then he made a joke about a negro, but Robin laughed so it was ok. - Stewie Griffin
