That's because he visited a tribe, antiquated people who hold onto a past and an irrelevant spiritual way. He basically hung out with the Namibian version of Amish people.

One of my coworkers is from Namibia, he lives in a city, he has a girlfriend he wants to eventually marry. He showed me pictures of her, she looks like an average 20-something girl from the United States.
