although i don't like to get involved with death pools, i think you're right about this.....although it would be interesting to see how he would handle rae's death and where he would pack his father off to...ellen's? a nursing home? or would he take him in to his own house (not possible).
howard has never experienced real grief....i can't imagine him not going into a complete and totally black depression.
i did when my father died...i was OK the first week, then one day driving home from my office this utterly hopeless feeling came over me. when i got home i got into bed and didn't come out for a month except to shower and sometimes eat. i'll never forget that summer. utter and complete hopelessness.

Howards a dick but his parents seem like nice people. Especially since they mentally abused little howchie. For that reason alone I would be uncomfortable wishing death on them.

Howard would be forced to move one of his parents in with him when one of them kicks off. It doesn't seem like his sister Ellen could pull it off and Howard could hire a staff to deal with his dying parent while he plays the martyr, a role that he enjoys.
