Bill O'Reilly: "Obama wins because it's not a traditional America anymore. The white establishment is the minority. People want things."

I believe the Guardian described this perfectly via a reader's comment:

This evening on Fox News, long-time anchor Bill O'Reilly, explaining why Obama was doing better in the voting than he anticipated, unleashed one of the most nakedly racist outbursts heard on national television by a prominent commentator. After first claiming that "50 percent of the people... want stuff" and thus vote for Obama because he gives it to them, O'Reilly added:

"Obama wins because it's not a traditional America anymore. The white establishment is the minority. People want things."

In other words, now that the majority in America is no longer white, the majority are lazy, dependent and eager for free government handouts. That is the type of commentary one would hear in the swamps of white supremacist websites.

Billy..., you do realize that more white people collect welfare, food stamps, medicaid and social security don't you? And that almost all red states collect more from the federal government and most blue states give more money to the federal government than they take. So which group are the moochers again?

According to this, 38.8% of welfare recpient are white, whereas 39.8% aree black, 15.7% hispanic, 2.4% asian, 3.3% other. There are 4,300,000 people on welfare, or 1,711,400 whites and 2,588,600 other.
Unemployment: THere are 5,600,000 people collecting unemployment. 13.4% black, 9.9% hispanic, 4.4% asian. That leaves 72.3% white and other, or 4,048,800 whites and 1,551,200 other.

And saying, or even implying, that if a voter is any other race than white, he or she has some disproportionate level of entitlement is flat out racist.

Besides lying, the one thing that really grates on me in all of this is that the party that's most anti-abortion is also one that is most anti-taking care of children when their parents aren't able to.
