I'm listening to 2008 shows now and they're fantastic compared to today's show.

1995 was awesome, that's when I started listening full time. I cant remember if its 95 or 96 but the shows dealing with the million man march ins Washington DC were hilarious.

Off the top of my head, it was good before all the Private Parts talk kicked in and ruined the show on a daily basis the way AGT did last year. Ivan the Drunk rambling , Marv Albert scandal, Frank Gifford & Cathy Lee cheating, Ralph flunking the lie detector test about being gay, maybe Hank's first appearance, Jesus Twins epic first appearance, KC's first stories, Real Doll, Melendez goofing on Booey's baby responsibilities, Jackie's no-mockery apology, Cardoza Hotel plug, repaying Dangerfield in jokes instead of money, and low-rent parties with his loser friends...shit like that.

I laughed more reading your synopsis of the 1996 HSS than I have all year listening to the show. Sad.

That was 94, and a great year for the HSS. If nothing else, 1995 was awesome just because of the OJ talk.

1994 and 2006 are my faaaavorite.

2008? Way better then today, but the decline had started. The same day Howard cached in his merger bonus in 2007 he had nothing more to work for.

They play a lot of 1996 shows in The Shuffle and yes, they are very funny shows.
