I guess what I meant by blowout is I think it wasn't a good sign for Romney to go into Pa., that looked like a last minute strategy based on bad internal polling/feedback within the party.

I think the popular vote will be very close, and even the electoral vote could be neck and neck. But I don't believe Romney will win all the states he would have had to, and within a few of those key toss-ups, that's where O has the comfortable leads, and the numbers don't seem to add up for a Republican victory.

I never realized how big Virginia would be, seems like there's nothing positive about that state if you're backing Romney:

20% of Virginians are African-Americans, one of the highest percentage (9th) of state populations in the nation.

6% unemployment, one of the lowest states in the nation


During the ten years from 2000 to 2010, Virginia's African-American population increased 11.6%. (so 11.6% growth among a group that voted 92% for O in 08)In 2008, Obama also won 60% of all ballots cast in Virginia by voters under 30 year old, a group that comprises 22% of all state residents.

Again, I'm trying to be objective. I don't see how Romeny wins without winning Virginia (conceding he'll win NC, FL., and even OH he'll still need Va. to win)
