I agree with you guys in that NONE of the proposed women seems the least bit suited for the job...but then again, neither was Howard Stern. So the folks making the picks aren't necessarily the smartest folks.

I think the reality TV genre is about done on the major networks; it will probably survive on some cable shows. You saw the exact same thing happen in the early 80s with cheap-to-produce shows like Real People and That's Incrediboe. After that nonsense ran it's course, you saw syndicated shows like "Star Search" pick up the slack. Reality-TV is mostly attractive to networks because it is cheap to produce. But once the audience grows tired of the genre (like I believe it has), then you'll start seeing scripted shows again. With the success of stuff like Sons of Anarchy, Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Mad Men, et.al. I would hope that the networks would start to try and produce grittier shows and take on the FCC to let them out of programming to fucking kids and bible-thumpers. It's sort of like when Nirvana came out with "Smells Like Teen Spirit." All those stupid hair-metal bands just looked stupid and lame by comparison. That's how modern cable programming makes network reality-tv look....it's changed the landscape in a way that can't be undone or mitigated.

Shit like AGT might have 1 or 2 years before it gets the axe; I think 1 more season and it's done. I think they'll try to completely shake-up the judges and bring in low-rent talent that they believe will garner them ratings with specific demographics. Whatever they do won't be enough. Reality TV sucks. It's played out.

she was one of my "idols" when i was younger. carly and laura niro wrote songs that every female could relate to....



btw, i have a dog (and it's almost impossible to teach him real tricks) no one has been able to figure out how they trained the olate dogs to do all those tricks.....i think something really dark is going on with them (if you know what i mean).
