I don't see Beff having a lot of options to move up from Wiggy. Even if she hangs in and crosses a time-threshold in the pre-nup, I doubt the final divorce settlement will provide the income to match her current lifestyle. Given that she's vapid and her looks are fading, she has near-zero earning potential on her own. She'd have to find another sugar daddy, and quickly.

Any very wealthy guy who is significantly younger/better-looking than Wiggy wouldn't give Beff a second glance. Those guys already have an excellent selection of younger, smarter, more attractive women available to them.

...after hearing howards rap on having his parents at his house im sure beth is acting quite cunty about it there in her castle. shes reduced to baby sitting ben and rae this morning and god forbid rae didnt quite turn off the water on the sink when she used to bathroom, you have to "push this thing and be sure it goes off maw". i bet shes being really pissy about helping "family" in a time of need.

I'm convinced this is why she's so desperate to get a TV job going.
If she was just going to stay married to Howard, there'd be no point. She has unlimited money, and can just do her little charity hobbies, whatever she wants.

To get divorced, she needs the income. With the settlement she could a place in manhattan, live off her TV money, keep the lifestyle.

If one of these shows hits, shes gone.
