Wasn't there a 15 page section in Obamacare regarding pet wellness?

I don't quite break even, but very close, and if something DID happen I would save a lot.

actually I have. it's not 100% coverage or anything but since I'm almost breaking even on the yearly checkups any other little help is just a bonus.

Last time I looked into it I didn't think it was worth it. There was an awful lot of fine print in the policies I looked into that seemed to be loopholes so they could deny virtually everything. Maybe things have changed since though.

it depends on where you get it. some vets offer it through third party insurers, some have their own program. the ones that have their own program are generally better.

I can't get anyone to give me health insurance now because of that. It really sucks.

wtf part about insurance do you dumfuks not understand...they are one of the most cash rich industries on the planet & you will not come out ahead on pet insurance & wtf is up with annual checkups? what kinda mental midgets are you? if your dog breaks sumpin you take it to the vet. vets are used to preying on lonley old ladies & their fifi's & they get confused when a real person with common sense walks in... vets & pediatric dentists are the worst shysters on the planet. 60 minutes could do a dozen shows on the pediatric dentist industry, fucking smiling scam artists...

ya, your dogs gonna need a procedure for $2000...oh really, will that fix the future problem you think he's gonna have?well we'll do it & see but its still gonna cost you $2000. either way...you do love your dog don't you?its like the deck guy talking you into a nice big deck on the back of your house....ya, its $5k & the deck might not take, it could just fall apart when we're done, but its still $5k and you do love your backyard dont you?...Carolla.

My dog once needed a diagnosis. The testing was a couple hundred dollars. It just so happened that he started having his problems right at the time when ALL FOUR animals (another dog and two cats) were due for vaccines, etc. So to get everybody current and figure out the oldest's siezure problem was going to be close to a grand. I just didn't have it. Nor did I have pet insurance.

So they recommended I get a Care Credit card. It's accepted at many vets as well as human doctors and dentists, too. They don't pay anything FOR you but it's interest-free for a period of time determined by your credit. For me it was a year. So if something happens you can't pay for, but think you could pay OFF in 6 months or a year (no interest) it may be a good thing to look into, because then at least you're not shelling out for something you may never use.
