I am watching Satantango

I have narrowed down what i watch as well, but films like this (Satantago) are exceptional. Long lingering takes with sparse dialogue is challenging to create and to watch, but worth the effort.

I will try to make it a point to watch it in the next couple of week so you and I can talk about it. I'll try.

I hate that I'm forever missing out on great art because I want to know everything and there's just so much incredible stuff out there.

some cant watch the whole thing because the girl kills her cat. She kills it because she is basically abused by her prostitute mother, so she needs to also feel empowered over her cat. I cant say if it was real or not, but it was fimed in Hungary, so who knows . . .

I'll have to turn away when that scene happens. Seeing animals get killed in movies(even Hollywood movies), makes me incredibly sad.

I used to watch a lot of disturbing stuff (hence "Salo") when I was really into cinema, but I just can't stomach it any more.
