This is an immaculate restoration of a 1951 Jersey Speed Skiff racing boat.
16 feet long and made of wood planking, it is powered by a 6 cyl Greymarine engine. They run a circle course of around a mile and had a top speed in competition in the mid 50 mph range.

The modern version raced under ABPA rules. Fiberglass, 283 or 305 V8 engine, will run all day in the mid 70mph range. They tend to bounce around and crash in to each other at times, the roll bar is to keep you from having another boat run over top of you and stick a spinning propeller in your ear.
