On Thursday, the CIA excluded Fox News from a briefing for a small group of reporters in which they provided a timeline from the night of the attack in which they explain that at 5:15 a.m. (7 hrs and 28 minutes after the attack on the consulate began) five mortars are fired at the annex, three of them striking the roof and killing Woods and Doherty.The CIA told the Washington Post’s David Ignatius that “the rooftop defenders never ‘laser the mortars’ as has been reported,” a reference to an earlier Fox News report. The CIA added the “defenders have focused their laser sights earlier on several Libyan attackers, as warnings not to fire.”

Maybe the CIA decided only real news agencies should be permitted into their briefings? Fox News openly admitted they are not a news reporting agency, but an entertainment show.

...oh wow since they said that theyre not needed on the white house grounds at anytime. they can get footage from other media and spin it how they like but if theyre an entertainment show by their own admission then fuck em.

they did come out and say that they were an entertainment show and therefore not to be subjected to fact-checkers... i think it was early last month.

...well that settles it. inside hollywood and entertainment tonight dont merit acess and now neither does fox news. goings on at the white house press meetings is serious business to be reported on accurately not fodder for entertainment.
