Those people just remind of cartoon-y sort of versions of people who I have known in my life. My closest guy friend(who I have known since high school) reminds me of the Charlie character so much....and I love Danny DeVito's slow transformation throughout the show...like he went from looking sort of normal(for DeVito)to slowly turning into a wild-looking vagrant.

THAT is exactly the beauty of the show. They're all caricatures of ppl we know (or ourselves).

I love that! I'm too much of a shy sort of patsy to come into my job and sort of say "Well, here's what we are listening to today.". Right now a Nigerian fellow at work brings in a radio and puts it on a Contemporary Christian station....it so awful. He's a very kind fellow, but I dread the days he works because I know there's a chance that he'll be listening to that garbage.

Well I'm a drummer, so I like the old greats like Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers and Elvin Jones. I also play vibraphone so I like Milt Jackson and Lionel Hampton for the way old school and Gary Burton for the more recent (but he's been playing forever). My go-to is older stuff (Horace Silver, Coltrane, Monk) but I like more modern stuff too.

i wanted a drum kit so my mum signed me up for band class to see if i'd like it. i was too young to refuse but the xylophone was fun to mess around with. i'd love to try a vibraphone.

i quit after one marching practice. i was not that guy and doing paradiddles was not for me.

I bet all of my stuff is amateur hour compared to yours, I've always been a fan of Jazz and certain Jazz artists, but I've only been heavily educating myself on the subject for about a month.

Same here....I had a co-worker that exposed me to the band Fun!. I figured that they were some sort of Christian band, I had no clue that they are one of the biggest mainstream bands around right now.

As a child, I listened to pop mixed with the stuff that eventually defined me...like Metallica mixed with Milli Vanilli, Suicidal Tendencies mixed with Debbie Gibson, Guns N Roses mixed with Cinderella.
