Back then it may have been, but a lot of bad decisions were made that still effect my life. I wasn't ambitious enough, I just wanted to fit into a "scene" and overcome my shyness enough to be "loved".

I shouldn't have given a shit about trying to be social, and I should have been studying instead of coasting. I was just trying to find a way out of the rural hell I was living in and I found it in going to Lexington.

I should have found it by being scholarly enough to get a free ride at a swanky East Coast college.

It is a weird thing looking back on it. When I was 24 I wouldn't have even looked at a 16 or 17 year old. When I was dating prior to meeting my husband I hung out with a lot of people around that age. I really just wanted to be an adult, badly longing to be(always did). Too bad I wasn't a more enlightened person back then to realize that adults hanging out with teenagers aren't the most intellectual or moral human beings.

Also, I stopped hanging out with a lot of those people because they all started doing heroin and that scared the shit out of me. I didn't ever want to be tempted to try it....so that tells you on what level they operated.

You're probably right about the hot ginge. He shouldn't have fooled around with a teenager and my friend(his ex) was also a teenager. I could have never imagined myself falling in love with him and I never felt like we ever bonded as friends. It was have been strictly a sex thing if it happened. The fooling around thing just sort of happened one night and it was never brought up or discussed ever again.

I'm glad that you think no less of me. Back then I was rebelling, but the only person who was ever harmed was myself.
