Jesus, I thought you'd be wiped out and in bed all day. You're a feisty one. I hope you smooth things over with your parents, too. The added stress from arguing won't do any of you much good. Maybe a nice barbecue on the weekend will perk everyone up - with lots of ice cream. Or damn - deep-fried ice cream! I saw a recipe for it today and almost made it, but it's too hot to fry anything.

You got your ice cream! That's so sweet. All is forgiven. And yeah, I'm not sold on deep-frying it. It's pretty perfect as it is. But egg rolls are my favorite part of Chinese food.

Lou, I hate bugs, bigtime. I am searching for a relatively bug-free place to live My niece lives in Ecuador in the higher elevations. She rarely sees any bugs. I am thinking of heading there to hide from them! I am ready for the Zombie Apocalypse, but I hate our insect friends.

Anf, sorry your surgery had to be moved, but it's not too far away. It'll be here before you know it. Are you still on the diet where you get more fluids? Or have they changed you back to the renal diet? Whatever lets you have ice cream sounds good to me. I know this road has been fraught with challenges and this is the latest. Maybe you should sit still until June?

Isn't it all fried up in a wok? I've tried to make it at home and it's never as good, so they must have some secret. Those little "pork" pieces with red dye on them are dubious, but who cares?

I hope you're feeling better today and your fever's gone. Good luck at dialysis, too. I'm taking one of my daughters out shopping to cheer her up. The plumber's coming back next week and has to go in her room and dig up part of her floor to finish unclogging the pipes. She's meticulous and protective of her stuff and her space, so she's upset and thinks her room will be contaminated forever. Nothing distracts and cheers up a female like a shopping spree.

I know that you have to use day-old rice and fry it in oil with veggies and eggs. The soy sauce gives it the color, but not the texture. It's one of those recipes I'm trying to perfect, since we can't order Chinese food anymore with nut allergies in the house.

old navy sorta perfected the shopping without your mom trip. there you always get something cool and it's for a good price. true the clothing doesn't last as long, but when you're active, it wont last anyway.
