just because she's got emotional problems with her sexuality (or lack thereof) is no reason to deprive the rest of us. by her logic we should all grow hair in our mouths because that area is 1000x more the bacterial breeding ground than is the bush.

heres what i have figured out this miserable hot summer.
grow the pubes out, its actually cooler down there, don't need talc & it doesn't smell. the hair wics away the sweat & smell is my guess, its pretty good down there this summer & i'm not peeling my nutsack off my leg every minute.
same for underarm, grow that shit out & its weird but it does not smell. the hair is there for a reason. probably acts like a radiator, those riidges on the radiator help cool the engine like the pubes on your body..

I'm guessing she came up with her conclusion based on her experience as a doctor. I've had bad doctors before so I see your point.

hair collects and maintains the sweat there. bacteria thrive on the sweat. bacterial excretions make the stink.

her conclusions are based upon assumptions. she says as much: she assumes removing the hair causes micro-lesions which allow bacteria which live on the skin into the blood stream. STD bacteria do not live on the skin, and would die quickly if exposed to air. if staph were a common STD she might have a point, but it isn't. the only STD that has to (it is too weak to get in any other way) enter the body through lesions is HIV. syph, gonorrhea, and the other common STDs are able to get inside without help and are probably a bit too large to get in though a hair follicle (HIV is a virus and a lot smaller than a bacterium).

that doc is making press because her statement polarizes the issue, not because it's technically correct.
